Seit 2011 wird von Prof. Hermann Frommhold und der Hanns-Langendorff-Stiftung der Hermann-Frommhold-Preis für junge Wissenschaftler ausgelobt, die sich im Bereich der Strahlentherapie, Strahlenbiologie oder Medizin-Physik durch herausragende Leistungen auszeichnen. Die Auswahl des Preisträgers erfolgt durch den Fördergeber und die Vorsitzende des Vorstands der Langendorff-Stiftung.
